Fantasmic! has always been a must see on every Disney World trip I have been on. Unfortunately, it has been closed since the park closed for COVID in 2020 and I have been eagerly awaiting its return. Disney fans have been hearing for months that the show would return to Disney World in 2022, but never knew when.
When the show returned to Disneyland in May many assumed it would be coming to Disney World shortly after. After a long wait, it was announced at the end of August that the performers had started rehearsal for the show, making all fans of the nighttime show excited.
Many were disappointed that the opening date was not announced during the D23 Expo, but now nearly 2 months later it has been announced! Fantasmic! is returning to Hollywood Studios November 3, 2022.
With the show replacing an entire segment and adding new characters, stunt performers, animation, and more I can’t wait for my next trip to go see it.
Know Before You Go
If you are going to be at Disney after Fantasmic! re-opens, note that the show is typically only performed once a night. To know when it is being performed the day you go to Hollywood Studios check in the My Disney Experience app or Disney’s Entertainment Schedule. Note: due to the show being outside, it may be canceled if there is inclement weather.
Beginning October 26th, “Fantasmic!” dining packages for select restaurants at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be available for performances November 30th and beyond. I will let you know more about this when the time comes.
