Start your morning with a little magic by making these easy Mickey cinnamon rolls.
Whether you’re doing a Disney Trip reveal, hosting a Disney themed sleepover party, or just really love adding some Disney magic to your life, these cinnamon rolls are a great addition to any morning. The best part? They are super simple to make, utilizing the ones you can buy at any grocery store.
Now I have seen various Mickey Mouse cinnamon roll recipes online, but a lot of them use a jumbo cinnamon roll for the body and two regular sized ones for the ears. While I am sure I could eat that much, I’m not in college anymore and probably shouldn’t. That’s why my recipe makes smaller Mickeys.
Ingredients
- One tube of cinnamon rolls. That’s literally it.
*One thing I would like to note, is that not all Pillsbury cinnamon rolls will work for this. Some are not actually rolls, rather buns with cinnamon in them. If unsure which ones to use, I recommend using the store bought brand as they are cheaper, work well, and taste just as good.
How to Make
Open the cinnamon rolls and separate every cinnamon roll, setting 4 cinnamon rolls on the tray. Make sure to set them far enough apart so that once the ears are added they will not bake together.
With the remaining 4 cinnamon rolls, unroll them, cut in half, and then re-roll. Once re-rolled, place them as the ears. I put the end against the head and pinched the dough of both together. This will help keep it together once it is baked.
If you are using a smaller tray, I recommend doing every other one upside down so that they can all fit without baking together.
All you need to do now is set the oven and bake according to the instructions that came with the cinnamon rolls. When they are done, pull out and drizzle the frosting immediately so that it melts nicely on the cinnamon rolls. Let cool and serve.
It really doesn’t get much easier than this, and they’re delicious! I will definitely be making these Mickey cinnamon rolls over and over.
